Social networking type? I'm on Twitter, Jaiku, Pownce, Flickr, last.fm, upcoming, LinkedIn, Technorati, del.icio.us, Mash, Advogato, Github, Disqus, Dopplr, AtheistNexus and many more.

I'm something of a voracious reader and publish my book collection online on GoodReads. Some of which even get reviewed. Of course, my music collection is neatly stewarded by last.fm.

I maintain a bunch of mashups and datasources including the Twitter Tube Tracker, plus I give talks and lectures.

I'm all about driving new technology and kicking old technology in the arse and trying to get it or keep it going. Two of these are the Semantic Web. What's the Semantic Web? As Dave Beckett put it: a webby way to link data. That is all.

Currently, I'm working on updating and rewriting Reddy, an RDF library for Ruby (patches, bug reports and collaborators welcome!).

I maintain a RELAX NG schema for OPML 1.0 and 2.0.

I'm also involved with microformats - specifically with vote-links and XOXO. I am a big fan of the GRDDL specification and maintain the NSFW profile.

Recently, I wrote a post entitled A gendered Semantic Web. I have put together a project called GenderHack over on GetSemantic to do some research on gender/sex/relationships issues, specifically in response to concerns about social networks and gender being a "binary".

I write for Citizendium, the Citizen's Compendium. It's kind of like Wikipedia, but with expert guidance, a real name policy, and better policies (in my opinion). Sign up now.
